Dear Members of WFIS,
as you know, the World Federation of Independent Scouts is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. We, the Solmser Pfadfinderschaft, are proud to host this anniversary workshop from 2nd un-til 4th of October 2026 in Laubach/Germany, the place where WFIS began. We warmly invite you to join us for this special occasion and would be delighted to welcome you to our hometown.
Planned program: Friday will be dedicated to arrival and registration at our central reception, followed by an informal evening gathering. Saturday, a variety of workshops will take place. As part of the anniversary ceremony, we will bury a time capsule beneath the Sequoia Tree, which was planted during the 20th anniversary celebration in 2016. (Further details will be provided by the WFIS worldwide President.) Each participating association is kindly asked to bring one scarf. In the evening, we will celebrate the anniversary together. Sunday, after breakfast, the workshop will conclude with the traditional closing circle.
Badge swapping is warmly encouraged throughout the weekend — so please bring your extra badges. WFIS supplies will also be available for purchase.
